John looks and sees the Lord holding back judgement and wrath from the earth until the complete number of His servants (represented by the 144,000 from the tribes of Israel) are sealed, preventing them from being harmed. John then looks and sees the same group from a different perspective: An uncountable multitude from all tribes and peoples and languages standing before the Lamb and the throne worshiping God. The people of God have been saved and sealed as His.
