The Apostle John sees a multitude in heaven sourrounding Jesus on His throne, worshiping Him. Jesus has saved them, brought them to Himself, and promised to be their Everything for forever. The Gospel and eternity are linked: Without the cross, there is no resurrection unto eternal life for sinners. There is only life — eternal life! — in Christ, our Savior and Shepherd.
